I WOULD LIKE TO CREATE A REPORT WHICH USES A BIND VARIABLE AND SELECT STATEMENT TO PULL OUT A SUBSET OF MY SAMPLES. THE VARIABLE MAY CONTAIN MORE THAN ONE VALUE SO I NEED TO USE LIKE RATHER THAN = TO GET THESE IN MY REPORT. HOWEVER IT HAS NOT WORKED FOR ME.

I GUESS MY QUESTION IS CAN I USE LIKE IN THE CREATION OF A BIND VARIABLE
AND NLS_UPPER(NAIS_SAMPLE_ATTRIBUTES.TEXT_VALUE) LIKE :TRIAL

RATHER THAN
AND NLS_UPPER(NAIS_SAMPLE_ATTRIBUTES.TEXT_VALUE) = :TRIAL

Hi Paul,
Try to learn about Lexical Parameters in Report, this also will help you.
